Two Rooms Combined For Wareham Bathroom

Our latest project features two rooms knocked into one. The homeowners approached us having just bought a new home in Wareham, Dorset. They wanted to combine the old bathroom and toilet rooms into one using a mix of modern and traditional products. The result is a large, beautiful bathroom that covers a full 13m².

Products Used

  • Windsor freestanding roll-top bath by Adamsez
  • Feeling rectangular shower tray in Cappuccino by RAK
  • Karndean vinyl flooring in Opus Solis

Our installers knocked through the wall that separated the old bathroom from the toilet. We then had to re-position the pipework to allow for the new bath and shower layout. A further challenge was to move the basin unit to opposite from its original place, as well as installing a new water softener.

First of all, our surveyor visited the property to take measurements. The homeowners told us their rough vision for the room. Next, our design team developed 3D design images using Compusoft. This showed the homeowners the exact layout of their new bathroom before they committed to buy. This included small touches such a shower pigeon hole for bathroom products.

The bathroom boasts 35m² of natural stone effect porcelain wall tiles in Super Travertine Beige. By covering from floor to ceiling, the design achieves a unified look. For the flooring, the homeowners chose Karndean vinyl flooring in Opus Solis. This had the advantage of being waterproof, slip-resistant and cheaper per square metre than porcelain.

We recommended RAK’s range of premium shower trays for the shower area. The homeowners selected a Cappuccino Feeling shower tray and matching Cappuccino shower valve. As for the basin unit, the reduced-depth Roper Rhodes fitted furniture in chalk white leaves plenty of space in the centre of the room.

The centrepiece of the room is a stunning freestanding bath by Adamsez. The tub boasts a roll-top design sitting on traditional ball and claw stainless steel legs. We also included a freestanding chrome bath shower mixer, also in a traditional style.
