Our clients, one of whom has impaired mobility, asked us to design and install a new level access wetroom with convenient features to make bathing easier. Using our Compusoft virtual bathroom design software we created a design for the new wetroom, complete with detailed floor plans and photographic renderings of the finished room.  Allowing our clients to visualise the finished shower room before we proceeded with the installation.  Under the government scheme for people with disabilities, all works and products associated with the project were exempt from VAT.

The main issue we had to overcome when planning the layout for the new wetroom was space. There simply was not enough room to accommodate the size of shower required in the existing ground floor bathroom. The solution was to move a wall to create the space needed.

To install the Impey Wetdeck wetroom floor former and pipework our lead installer, Steve, had to excavate the concrete floor which was later screeded to provide a sound and level base for vinyl flooring.  Within the shower we installed grab handles and a padded fold down shower seat. To enclose the shower, we installed a stylish fixed glass walk-in screen to allow easy and level access to the shower.

Altro Marine vinyl flooring in a light grey colour was installed across the entire floor and shower with wood grain effect and sand toned contrasting wall tiles from Perseo. A stylish RAK Resort toilet and wash basin with illuminated vanity mirror and further grab rails completed the room. Our customers were delighted with their new wetroom and commented:

“A huge thank you to all who were involved in this build/refurb. You have provided excellent service from start to finish and the end result is simply stunning! Very high-quality workmanship and the wet room just looks gorgeous. We are delighted with the end result. A special thanks to Steve who was worked in a professional, tidy way and was always cheerful and accommodating. He has done a marvellous job so please do pass on our thanks to him.”
