When Mr and Mrs M bought their luxury four-bed new build, they wanted to put their own stamp on it, so the developer suggested they get in touch with us and sister company UK Tiles Direct for help with designing the new bathrooms, inspiration for products and the wall and floor tiling. There were five rooms to consider, including the master bathroom, two en-suites and a cloakroom.

Looking for a modern feel, but in keeping with the style of this picturesque rural area, Mr and Mrs M visited our large showroom in Wareham, to view our range of bathroom displays. They liked the schemes we’d designed and were particularly taken with the Roper Rhodes furniture we showcased in our displays, wanting to create the same in their new home.

The materials chosen for the new bathrooms

For the main bathroom, we used the simple, yet stunning, Woodstock Calypso Brecon fitted furniture, in gloss grey, for a fresh modern feel. We teamed this with the gorgeous Calypso Marietta basin and a contemporary Roper Rhodes Minerva toilet.

In the spacious master en-suite, the parallel light grey wall tiles and black floor provide the perfect backdrop for the sleek gloss white Roper Rhodes Muse furniture, contrasted beautifully with the Roper Rhodes black granite laminate worktop. The sliding shower enclosure from the Frontline Aquaglass range adds a sophisticated finishing touch.

The guest en-suite followed the same contemporary theme, with a Roper Rhodes Contour gloss white unit and basin, and Roper Rhodes Debut toilet, surrounded by chocolate brown floor tiles and beige wall tiles, with brilliant white grout creating a stunning contrast.

The project challenges

The biggest challenge of this new-build project was the fact there were lots of trades working there at the same time. Having sold their home in London and moved into their caravan, Mr and Mrs M were keen to get into their new house as soon as possible, which meant we didn’t have time on our side. But, the results are stunning and brought the vision they had when they first visited our showroom to life.
