We Require a Shower for a Small and Complex Loft Project, Can You Help?

The client described the space as “small and complex” but that didn’t prevent our frameless shower enclosure team from creating the perfect shower screen for a loft conversion in Kilburn.

Angled shower enclosures for loft conversions

Loft conversions continue to be a popular and effective means of adding additional space to our homes.  Commonly used to create an additional bedroom and en-suite bathroom but they are not without their challenges as the sloping ceilings that are a feature of many such loft conversions can prevent the fitment of off the peg items such as wardrobes and shower enclosures.

At Room H2o we design, manufacture and install many frameless glass shower enclosures for loft conversions but when a client from Kilburn contacted us with what they described as a small and complex loft project we were ready to meet the challenge.

Our shower enclosures are expertly measured to ensure a perfect fit

Room H2o’s head engineer, James Foster, visited the client to discuss their requirements, possible layouts and to carry out a detailed site survey which, due to the compact and tight dimensions of the shower combined with the sloping ceiling and close proximity of the bath, required hardboard templates to be created on site.  The resulting frameless pentagon shower enclosure would require both angled glass panels and an inward opening door to allow access to the shower and clear features such as an extractor fan.  Once manufactured, James returned to install the new bespoke shower enclosure which fitted perfectly and the client was delighted with the results.

Of the project Mr Mowat commented

I am more than delighted with the service I received from Room H2o. We presented Nishi with a small yet complex loft project involving the glazing of three sides of a pentagonal shower incorporating a sloping ceiling and a raised shower tray. One of the sides required a bifold door, opening into the shower area, and this had to clear the existing low-voltage extractor. James, the surveyor and installer, spent hours measuring and calculating on his first visit. His work paid off: on his second visit a month later he installed the various components, and the whole process went like a dream. I have no hesitation in recommending the Nishi/James double act for shower enclosures!
